On October 21, twelve ladies will don glamorous wedding gowns with the support of over forty vendors and the Susan G. Komen foundation for the Cure for the 2009 “To have And To Hold” photo shoot for Breast Cancer awareness. The purpose of this shoot is to bring additional awareness to support breast cancer research by doing something that reflects the extreme nature of this disease. That is, feature 12 brides who are not afraid and won’t slow down in their fight to bring awareness and raise money for breast cancer research. This photo shoot will share their personal stories of breast cancer in Anne Barge wedding gowns on the terrace of a hotel, riding in an extended hummer limo throughout Atlanta, on a tarmac with a luxury car, private airplane, and a private helicopter.
Our brides will each have a story to share – some having personallybattled breast cancer while others struggled alongside a loved oneaffected by the disease. These stories are forever ingrained in theirfamily legacies, and I’m certain that you would agree that they should beshared. The final aim for this photo project is a published bookfeaturing photos from the shoot including behind-the-scenes shots tocelebrate these women and their stories. All proceeds from the sale ofthe book into December 31, 2009 will go to the Susan G. Komen for theCure Foundation.
A few weeks after the photo shoot vendors, friends, family, special guests and the media will be invited to the official Unveiling Soiree where the photographs from the shoot will, for the first time, be officially displayed. A video and slide show will be presented for guests to see the entire body of work and what it took to make it happen. It will also be a time to meet the models from the day as well as other participants who contributed to this worthy project.
