If you haven’t been to Montaluce Vineyard then you are missing out. It’s almost like you stepped out of Georgia into an Italian Winery. What a great location for an inspirational shoot. Our model for the day was Christel Bethea who was an inspiration to all of us. She was a trooper throughout the entire day.  I cannot thank everyone enough for making this shoot a success. GUESS WHAT? The SONY a900 and it’s friends are on their way. When I got up this morning I took a gander at my email before getting out of bed and to my surprise there was a FEDEX tracking number. A FEDEX tracking number you may ask? Yes. SONY is supplying the a900 DSLR and some Carl Zeiss lenses to the “To Have & To Hold” Breast Cancer Photo Shoot. The locations are going to be awesome and the shoots are def going to be big. We are looking to photograph on the beach, pre-civil war house, vineyard, and abandoned buildings. I want each photo shoot to help tell individual story of the models. That is why I love shooting with Carl Zeiss Lenses. The first time I looked through a Carl Zeiss lens I knew this was the lens for the project. It’s clear and almost piercing. There’s a lot of communication through the eyes and I don’t need the lens to get in the way.  I always want to make sure that the models always get the best because I want to make sure that they are not only comfortable and confident in front of the camera, remember they are not models, but they have the best possible equipment to help tell their inspiring stories. So Thank to Sony for supplying the camera and lenses for this project!

THE INAUGURAL photo shoot for the “To Have and To Hold” 2010 breast cancer photo shoot is about two and a half weeks away! Barnsley Resort here we come. If you haven’t been to Barnsley then you need to look them up and make a romantic weekend of it or even better…take the family for a few days of rest and commune with nature.

This year we are going to have 12 men and women tell the story of their experience via photography and the new 2010 “To Have and To Hold” a life for generations book. Last year all 12 models were photographed and interviewed from 6am till 8pm! They were certainly troopers and I can’t thank them enough. “To Have and To Hold” breast cancer photo shoot video

But this year we are going to spend more time with each model and each of them will have their very own photo shoot and experience! I am looking forward this year’s project because it will include more stories from survivors that will shed more light onto the individual experiences of these men and women. We always need to remember that although the movement of breast cancer awareness and increased research must be a joint effort with all those who have experienced this disease we cannot forget that breast cancer first affects the individual and it is the individual who we need to focus on from time to time.

One thing that I am looking forward to is working with Amy Osaba again on this shoot. If you haven’t visited her website then you certainly need to. She has such a great eye and a creative imagination that this “enchanted” shoot is going to be over the top and fabulous!

Charity Soiree & Bridal Photo Shoot Unveiling at
the Hotel Palomar

Atlanta, Georgia – November 18, 2009
Atlanta wedding photographer,
Peter Doyle, of StoryboardLife Photography,
supports Breast Cancer Awareness with the
unveiling of his newly published book,
“To Have & To Hold: a life for generations,”
at a soiree and silent auction at the Hotel Palomar
on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. This never before seen work is a collection
of photographs taken during an elaborate not-for-profit photo shoot
at the Hotel Palomar Atlanta-Midtown, The Fabulous Fox Theatre and
McCollum Airport on October 21, 2009 during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The soiree will recognize more than forty vendors and models that contributed
goods and talent to the charity photo shoot and the businesses that donated
the use of millions of dollars in high-end props and equipment (including Sony a900 cameras
and lenses, a Hummer limo, helicopters, Sony Cameras,a Gulfstream jet, Dodge Chargers,
and Anne Barge gowns). Several prints from the collection will be on public display
for the first time and will be included in a silent auction along with other high-end
goods and services.

“I am so thankful to those individuals and businesses that
have given their time, talent and effort to help bring greater awareness to such
a terrible disease,” said Peter Doyle,
the project creator and photographer. The soiree will bring everyone together,
along with friends and family, to see what we accomplished together.”

The book, “To Have & To Hold: a life for generations” includes photographs of twelve women
(wearing Anne Barge bridal gowns) who have been touched by breast cancer, behind-the-scenes
photographs and accompanying stories written by Atlanta-based writer, Rachel Brooker.
The book will be available for purchase and all proceeds from the book and silent auction
benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  Guest speakers for the evening include
Tonya R. Echols-Cole, M.D. (of GA Radiation in Decatur, Georgia), who will be addressing
breast cancer prevention and M. Nichole Hancock, M.Ed. (founder & President of Shades of Pink,
a breast cancer survivors choir) speaking on the importance of breast cancer support groups.
John Stringer, lead singer for the Atlanta-based band State of Man (www.stateofmanmusic.com) will be performing.

This exclusive limited-attendance social event will be held on Wednesday,
November 18, 2009 at 7p.m. at the Hotel Palomar Atlanta-Midtown located at
866 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308. Doors open at 7:00 pm. and admission
is free but reservations are encouraged. This evening will offer hors d’oeuvres,
a cash bar, live music, silent auction, guest speakers and a unique opportunity

Hello everyone.

The To Have And To Hold Breast Cancer Photo Shoot was a huge success. I cannot express my gratitude to everyone that participated in the photo shoot. I want to give a special thank you to Dawn of Traditionally Modern who made sure that everything ran smoothly. Photos will be coming soon. KEEP THIS IN MIND: On November 18 from 7:00 – 10:00 we will have the official Unveiling Soiree of the “To Have And to Hold” photo shoot. It will be a time for all the participating vendors, support staff, models and special guests to come together and celebrate the the success of the event as well as the release of the official book from the shoot, “To Have And To Hold: A Life For Generations.”

The Hotel Palomar has graciously donated their wonderful ballroom and food for this celebration and you know there isn’t a better place to have and event with such meaning.
